Still Minds Psychology: Anxiety & OCD Therapy

Welcome

At Still Minds Psychology, we provide specialized mental health therapy to help people break free from anxiety, obsessive–compulsive disorder, panic, and phobias. If you feel stuck in cycles of worry, feeling constantly on edge, stuck engaging in mental checking, avoidance, or compulsive behaviors, therapy can help you break free and start living confidently. Treatment is not about reassurance, just getting validation, or “just thinking positive”; it is about building real skills that reduce anxiety and restore trust in yourself. If you’ve been told to “just stop thinking that way” or “let it go”, you’re in the right place.

You do not have to manage this alone, and you do not have to feel this way forever. Start therapy with a clinician who understands anxiety

  • If you’re nervous about starting therapy, that makes sense.

Many people who come to Still Minds Psychology worry about things like:
What if I say the wrong thing?
What if therapy makes my thoughts worse?
What if I’m judged for what goes through my mind?

If you’re asking those questions, you’re not alone—and nothing about them disqualifies you from therapy.

Intrusive thoughts, mental images, urges, or doubts can feel alarming, shameful, or hard to explain. They do not reflect who you are, what you want, or what you value. You do not need to filter, justify, or protect your therapist from your thoughts here.

Therapy is not about analyzing every thought, convincing you they “don’t mean anything,” or forcing you to face fears before you’re ready. It is about understanding how anxiety and OCD operate, learning skills that actually reduce their power, and moving forward at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.

    You are allowed to:

    • Ask questions

    • Go slowly

    • Feel unsure

    • Take time deciding if this feels like the right fit

Nothing needs to be perfect for you to begin.

→ Schedule a consultation to Learn what therapy is like

  • I don’t just ask you how you’re doing, I utilize evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), & Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to get you symptom reduction.

We go at YOUR pace, working together. You don’t have to fight your thoughts alone.

individual therapy or coaching sessions are $175 USD

    Couples sessions are $210

Still Minds Psychology is not in network with any insurers, but can provide super bills to help with out of network reimbursement.

While therapy can be an expense, many clients view it as an investment. My patients find working with a highly trained specialist is still more cost effective than years spent trying to treat their condition with someone who does not understand how anxiety, OCD or phobias work. I work with people to recover and eliminate symptoms and teach you the skills to handle issues effectively once therapy is done.

If You’re Here, You Might Be Tired Of…

  • Overthinking and second-guessing yourself

  • Feeling on edge, tense, irritable, or “wired” even when things are fine

  • Racing thoughts at night, trouble sleeping, or waking up anxious

  • Reassurance-seeking, checking, or mentally reviewing “just in case”

  • Avoiding situations because the anxiety feels too big

  • Feeling a constant sense of dread something bad will happen

  • Physical symptoms like tight muscles, stomach pain or fatigue

  • People-pleasing or perfectionism that looks “high functioning,” but feels exhausting

  • Panic symptoms (tight chest, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, tingling)

  • A constant sense that you should be doing more, being better, or getting it “right”

If any of this fits, therapy can be a place where you feel safe and don’t have to perform. Anxiety can be incredibly isolating. It often makes you feel like you’re the only lying awake at night unable to get over things, while others seem to be able to just brush things off. You might wonder if something is wrong with you, or why it feels so hard to function when everything “should” be fine.

The reality is, you’re far from alone. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health conditions and are highly treatable. You can learn to be yourself, and break out of cycles that are holding you back. We take an individualized approach to help you get lasting relief
